ADCE歐洲藝術指導俱樂部成立于1990年，作為非盈利組織的ADCE其使命是促進與獎勵歐洲優秀的廣告與設計作品，在歐洲地區的20個國家里ADCE都支持并協作其專業設計機構與廣告協會。ADCE年度獎的成立則在于提供歐洲各國優秀作品的交流，包括廣告、設計、編輯、插畫、電影、新媒體和攝影等等類別；ADCE主席Franco Moretti表示：“ADCE年度獎將每一年歐洲最優秀的作品呈現出來，這些作品不僅代表著歐洲創意界的最佳標準，也讓世界看到歐洲創意人的努力成果，而通過ADCE協會與年度獎的努力，也將為歐洲的創意力帶來良好的推動”。
